Upon arriving in Kunming, your tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. Then you can have a free leisure around Green Lake (Cuihu) or Jinma Biji Fang for option) for the rest of the day.
After breakfast, today tour will start with Kunming Flowers & Birds Market. Then drive 1.5 hours (90 KM) to visit the Stone Forest. The Stone Forest covers 26,000-hectare and from a distance, it does indeed look like a forest of stones with its peaks and odd-shaped rocks standing straight up from the ground. You can walk around the forest on paths and take a photoshoot of sunset or dusk sight of Stone Forest there. Stay overnight near Stone Forest Park.
A morning drive abount 2.5 hours from Kunming to Jianshui. Upon arrival, your Jianshui trip will start with exploration to the Zhu Family's Garden, the Confucian Temple and Chaoyang Tower at Jianshui Ancient Town.
After breakfast, you will visit Twin-Dragon Bridge, Migui Old Site of Yunnan-Vietnam Rail and Old Xianghui Bridge Station of Yunnan-Vietnam Rail. Then drive about 2.5 hours to Yuangyang. Today tour ends with a sunset or dusk view of Tiger Mouth Rice Terraces.
Get up early and take a morning drive to enjoy a spectacular view of sunrise from the scenic mountain rice terraced fields at Duoyishu Village. In the afternoon, you will continue to visit Jingkou Hani Ethnic Village, Bada Hani Terraces and Azheke Village.
After a morning visit to (Xinjie) new local street market, you will be driven about 3.5 hours to Hekou Port. On the way, you can enjoy a variety view of (Red River) Honghe River.

1. Trip Advice: This travel route can enter Hekou Port China from Lao Cai Vietnam, and proceed to Kunming.
2. Visa Requirements: Foreigners must have a valid Chinese visa for the Yunnan portion. For entering Lao Cai Vietnam, they must obtain a Vietnamese Visa in advance (or verify if their nationality is eligible for Visa on Arrival at the Lao Cai land border).
3. Transportation: The drive from Kunming to Honghe is smooth on expressways. From Honghe to Hekou Port, the road is excellent.
4. Climate Preparation: Honghe and Hekou are in a tropical zone. Pack light, breathable clothing, strong sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. Kunming are milder, so a light jacket is needed for evenings.
