Sites visited: Labrang Monastery, Sangke Grassland
After breakfast, will transfer you to Xiahe, go to visit Labrang Monastery and Sangke Grassland.
Labrang Monastery, founded in 1709, situated in Xiahe County, is one of the six great monasteries of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism and one of the important monastic centers outside Tibet. The monastery is renowned for its vibrant religious festivals, rich Buddhist art, and active monastic college, attracting pilgrims and tourists from around the world.
Sangke Grassland, is a vast and picturesque alpine meadow on the northeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau. Known for its rolling green hills, clear streams, and scattered herds of yaks and sheep, it offers a serene glimpse into traditional Tibetan nomadic life.
Sites visited: Zhongshan Bridge, Yellow River Scenic Line
Today will drive you back to Lanzhou at first, then go to visit Zhongshan Bridge, and walk relax Yellow River Scenic Line. After that, will drive you to train station to catch high speed train to Zhangye. When you arrive in Zhangye, will meet you then back to hotel for rest.
Sites Visited: Matisi Grottoes, Zhangye Danxia Geological Park
Today, visit drive you pass through Qilian Mountain on the way to visit Matisi Grottoes, Which has very strong influence of Tibetan Buddhism and is located the boundary between Gansu and Qinghai Provinces. In the afternoon, will continue to visit Zhangye Danxia Geological Park. Which is know as rainbow mountain.
Sites Visited: Dafosi Temple, Jiayuguan Fort, Great Wall on the Cliff
In the morning will go to visit Dafosi Temple. Then drive you to Jiayuguan, upon arrival, you will go to visit Jiayuguan fortress, Great Wall on the Cliff in the afternoon.
Jiayuguan Fortress is the western end of the Great Wall and first grand pass under the Heaven. It was built in 1372 in Ming Dynasty, it took 168 year to build this strategic outpost.
After visiting, will take later afternoon high speed to Dunhuang, about 3 hours on the train. Overnight in Dunhuang.
Sites Visited: Yumen Gate, Yardang landform, Echoing-Sand Mountain and the Crescent Lake, Shazhou Night Market
After breakfast will drive you to visit Yumen Gate, enjoy the Yardang landform in there. In the afternoon, back to Dunhuang city to visit Echoing-Sand Mountain and the Crescent Lake. Enjoy the soft sands and nice sunshine, as well as camel riding for special experience for your own choose to pay to enjoy it. That should be another feeling to test Silk Road. Then you will visit the Crescent Lake.
In the evening, enjoy a free relax in Shazhou Night Market in the city centre of Dunhuang.
Sites Visited: Mogao Caves
After breakfast, you will visit the Visit Mogao Grottoes. It is the first biggest grottoes in China, and one of the four Greatest grottoes in China. We will take somewhat 2 hours for visiting, from different period caves, such as 5th- 9th centenaries. In the evening, you will be drive 2 hours to Liuyuan Station for high speed train to Turpan.
Sites Visited: Jiaohe Ruined city,Toyuk Valley,Karez Irrigation system, overview the Flaming Mountain, Erdaoqiao International Bazaar.
Today your tour will start with a morning visit to Jiaohe Ruined city. The city includes city gates, streets and lanes, government office, temples, domestic houses, cave houses, wells, and an underground temple.
Then go to visit Toyuk Valley, it’s 8 km long, the average width of about 1 km. The color of the mountain rock clearly visible, the nature of the extraordinary workmanship is amazing, the peak of the Flame Mountain is located in the canyon.
After that continue to visit Karez Irrigation system.
On the way will overview the Flaming Mountain too. After visiting will drive you about 3-3.5 hours to Urumqi. When you arrive in Urumqi, will go to visit Erdaoqiao International Bazaar.
Sites Visited: Heaven Lake
Today highlight will drive you to visit the Heaven Lake.
Located in the Tianshan Mountains near Urumqi, Heavenly Lake is a high-altitude alpine lake known for its crystal-clear waters and breathtaking mountain scenery. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and lush forests, it offers a peaceful retreat into nature. Visitors can enjoy cruising, hiking, or experiencing the culture of local Kazakh herders.
In the afternoon back to catch flight from Urumqi to Kashgar. When you arrive in Kashgar, will meet you and transfer you to hotel for rest.
Sites visited: Id Kah Mosque, Apak Hoja Tomb, Handicraft Street. Kashgar Old City, Tea time in Century-Old Teahouse
Today will go to visit Apak Hoja Tomb,Id Kah Mosque. Then walk around relax Old Town to experience local custom. Enjoy the tea time in Century-old Teahouse.
Sites Visited: Bulunkul Mountain & Lake, Karakuli Lake, Basha Lake
After breakfast take the drive to visit Bulunkul Mountain &Lake, and the Karakul Lake and enjoy the Pamir landscape. The Karakul Lake is a paradise of bonfire night parties for boy and girl khalkhas with tourists. The party is full of ethnic songs and dances, as well as good smell of roast lamb skewers.
After breakfast, transfer you to Kashgar airport to catch your final depart flight.
