Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, is a vital hub along the ancient Silk Road. Strategically situated on the upper reaches of the Yellow River, the city is famously known as the "Golden City" and serves as a key transportation, industrial, and cultural center in the region.
Sites visited: Binglingsi Thousand Buddha Caves, Yellow River Zhongshan Bridge
In the morning, drive you to visit Binglingsi Thousand Buddha Caves. Cruise from Liujiaxia Gorge to Binglingsi.
After visiting will back to Lanzhou city, view and walk along Yellow River Zhongshan Bridge. Then to catch high speed train to Xining.
Sites Visited: Ta'er Monastery, Qinghai Lake
After breakfast, you will start full day Xining tour visit Ta'er Monastery, also known as Kumbum Monastery, founded in 1583 in a narrow valley near the village of Lusar in the Tibetan cultural region of Amdo. The temple is one of the six greatest monasteries of Yellow Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Magnificent halls, exquisite thangka paintings, butter sculptures, murals, and embroidery are all hallmarks of this temple.
Then go to visit Qinghai Lake, the largest inland and salt water lake in China. Renowned for its breathtaking blue waters and surrounding grasslands, it is a vital habitat for migratory birds. The lake holds significant cultural and spiritual importance for local Tibetan communities.
Sites Visited: Zhangye Danxia Geological Park.
Today will take morning high speed train from Xining to Zhangye, when you arrive in Zhangye, will meet you and transfer you to visit Zhangye Danxia Geological Park, which also been called Colorful Danxia scenic spot. Recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark, it is one of China's iconic and photogenic natural wonders.
Sites Visited: Dafosi Temple, Jiayuguan Fort, Great Wall on the Cliff
In the morning will go to visit Dafosi Temple. Then you will take a bullet train (1.5 hours) to Jiayuguan. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to visit Jiayuguan Fortress, Great Wall on the Cliff in the afternoon. If the time is right, will arrange night tour of the Jiayuguan Fortress
Sites Visited: Echoing-Sand Mountain and the Crescent Lake, Shazhou Night Market
When you arrive in Dunhuang, you will be driven to visit Echoing-Sand Mountain and the Crescent Lake. Enjoy the soft sands and nice sunshine. Camel riding etc., desert experience activities for your own choose. Climb the sand dunes to overlook the Crescent Lake and admire the desert wonder where sand and water coexist.
In the evening, enjoy a free relax in Shazhou Night Market in the city centre of Dunhuang.
Sites Visited: Mogao Caves
After breakfast, you will visit the Visit Mogao Grottoes. Located near Dunhuang, the Mogao Caves are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a treasure trove of Buddhist art. Constructed between the 4th and 14th centuries, this network of over 700 caves features breathtaking murals and intricate sculptures that chronicle a millennium of religious, cultural, and artistic exchange along the Silk Road.
Then you will go to Turpan by high speed train.

Today highlights go to visit Jiaohe Ruined city where insight into ancient oasis civilization.Explore Toyuk Valley that embodies a unique blend of natural beauty, agricultural tradition, and layered religious history. Go to visit Karez Irrigation system, and Sugong Minaret.
On the way will overview the Flaming Mountain too. After visiting will go to Urumqi.
Sites Visited: Heaven Lake, Erdaoqiao International Bazaar.

After breakfast, transfer you to Urumqi airport to catch your departure flight.
