Founded in 1929, Zhejiang Provincial Museum is a national first-class museum and the largest comprehensive humanities museum in Zhejiang, located in Hangzhou. It owns over 100,000 cultural relics spanning thousands of years. Highlights include the King Jade Cong of Liangzhu Culture, the Remnant Landscape of Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains, and ancient Yue Kingdom bronze swords.

Originally named Zhejiang Provincial West Lake Museum, the museum has multiple branches now, two core branches open to public: Gushan Branch (Old Museum) and  Zhijiang Branch (New Museum) .  Old Gushan Branch features a superb collection of ceramics, lacquerware, calligraphy and paintings, classical Jiangnan architecture and romance of West Lake. New Zhijiang Branch features most of major artifacts (including the King of Jade Cong) in large modern exhibition spaces.  

 It systematically displays the splendid civilization of Zhejiang from prehistoric times to modern ages. More than a museum, it is a living treasure house that interprets local history, art and cultural heritage, offering visitors a profound journey through time.
