Nestled in Zanda County, Ngari, Zanda Earth Forest National Geopark is a breathtaking geological wonder, hailed as “the most Mars-like landscape on Earth”. With an average altitude of over 4,000 meters, it's the world's largest and most typical earth forest landform formed by Tertiary strata weathering.

Formed millions of years ago, ancient lake basin sediments were shaped by Himalayan orogeny, then carved by flowing water and weathered into stunning earth pillars, towers and castles. Stretching along the Xiangquan River, the formations resemble a magical stone forest under the plateau light.

This geopark also bears witness to ancient civilizations, with ruins of the Guge Kingdom and Tholing Monastery hidden among the earth forests. Blending magnificent geology and profound history, it's a timeless masterpiece of nature and culture on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
