Located 180 km northwest of Dunhuang, Dunhuang Yardang National Geopark is a surreal wind‑eroded wonderland nicknamed "Devil City". A UNESCO Global Geopark since 2015, it spans 398 km² and features the world's largest & most mature yardang formations. 

Carved by millennia of sandstorms, the rock sculptures resemble lions, pyramids, peacocks and a "Fleet of the West Sea". By day, the Gobi landscape glows golden at sunset; by night, howling winds echo like ghostly whispers, giving the park its eerie name.A Silk Road gem and photography paradise, it feels like walking on Mars—raw, ancient, and utterly breathtaking.
