Located in the heart of Lanzhou's Chengguan District, Xiguan Grand Mosque is a landmark Islamic site and a symbol of religious harmony. Founded in the Ming Dynasty, it was historically known as the "Guest Mosque" for serving Silk Road Muslim travelers. Rebuilt in 1990, it blends Arabic Islamic style with Chinese architectural elements.

The 4-story circular main hall, 37 meters tall, can hold 3,000 worshippers. Its iconic features include a grand dome, 20 towering arches, and white walls adorned with green and blue patterns. The prayer hall is precisely oriented toward Mecca. A masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture, it's listed among Lanzhou's Top Ten Buildings. As a vital center for Muslim culture and communication, it reflects Gansu's rich ethnic diversity and Silk Road heritage.
