Located at the southeast of Norbulingka in Lhasa, Tibet Museum is the first national first-class comprehensive modern museum in Tibet Autonomous Region. Opened in 1999 and renovated in 2022, it perfectly blends traditional Tibetan architectural charm with modern design.

It houses over 520,000 cultural relics, including Thangka paintings, ancient scriptures, Buddha statues, jade wares and folk artifacts. Permanent exhibitions fully display the profound history, religious culture and folk customs of the snowland plateau.
