The Small Wild Goose Pagoda, located in Jianfu Temple of Xi'an, is a charming Tang Dynasty landmark and a key cultural relic. Built between 707 and 710 AD, it was erected to preserve Buddhist scriptures brought from India by the monk Yijing.

A typical multi-eaved brick pagoda, it originally had 15 storeys. Damaged by earthquakes in the Ming Dynasty, it now has 13 storeys, standing 43.4 meters tall. Its elegant, slender form with layered eaves showcases exquisite Tang architectural craftsmanship.

Famous for its miraculous earthquake resistance—the pagoda once cracked and later rejoined during quakes—it reflects ancient Chinese engineering wisdom. As a complement to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, it stands as a silent witness to Chang'An's glory and Sino-foreign cultural exchanges.
