Located in Guanghan, 40 km north of Chengdu, Sanxingdui Museum is a modern museum dedicated to the mysterious ancient Shu civilization dating back 3,000–5,000 years. Opened in 1997, it stands on the site of the ancient Shu capital, one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.
