Located 12 km west of Pingliang, Gansu, Kongtong Mountain is a national 5A scenic area and a sacred Taoist site, known as "China's No.1 Taoist Mountain". It was a strategic pass on the ancient Silk Road. Covering 83.6 sq km, its main peak rises 2,123 meters, with a 95% forest coverage and stunning Danxia landforms. It blends northern grandeur and southern elegance, with misty forests, steep cliffs and serene valleys.

Legend says the Yellow Emperor consulted the immortal Guangchengzi here on governance and longevity. Emperors Qin Shi Huang and Han Wudi also visited. Boasting 42 ancient buildings and 72 cave temples, it's a cradle of Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism, and the birthplace of Kongtong martial arts. A timeless gem of nature and culture, it shines brightly on the Silk Road.
