Amne Machin, located in Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai, is the eastern extension of the Kunlun Mountains and one of the Four Sacred Mountains of Tibetan Buddhism. Its main peak, Machen Kangri, stands at 6,282 meters, the highest in the Yellow River basin.

Known as the "Father of the Yellow River", it feeds the river with over 40 modern glaciers. The 7.7-kilometer Hailong Glacier shines with blue ice under sunlight.For Tibetans, it is a sacred abode of the protective deity Machen Pomra. Pilgrims circumambulate the mountain for blessings. With snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows, and prayer flags, it blends raw natural grandeur and profound Tibetan spirituality.
