Luohan Temple, also Arhat Temple, a revered ancient Buddhist temple, nestles in the bustling heart of Yuzhong District, Chongqing. Founded during the Northern Song Dynasty (1064–1067), it was originally named Zhiping Temple. Renamed in the late Qing Dynasty after the construction of its Arhat Hall, it now serves as the headquarters of the Chongqing Buddhist Association.

The temple is famed for its 524 vivid clay Arhat statues in the Luohan Hall, each with unique expressions and postures. The Ancient Buddha Cliff features over 400 well-preserved Song Dynasty stone carvings. Blending traditional Chinese architecture with a serene atmosphere amid modern skyscrapers, it offers a peaceful retreat. A national key Buddhist temple and cultural relic, it's also known as the filming location of the movie Crazy Stone.
