The star exhibit is the Dongba hieroglyphs—1,400 picture characters, the only living hieroglyphic script on Earth. The UNESCO-listed 1,000-volume Dongba scriptures, ancient ritual instruments, and vivid religious paintings vividly narrate Naxi cosmology and traditions.
