Drigung Til Monastery, also Drigong Ti Temple, is a sacred Tibetan Buddhist site renowned for its ancient sky burial rituals. About 150 km from central Lhasa, Drigung Til Monastery stands on a steep ridge at 4,400 meters above sea level in Maizhokunggar County. Founded in 1179 by Master Rinchen Pel, it is the headquarters of the Drigung Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.

With red walls and golden roofs, the monastery clings dramatically to the mountainside, overlooking the Zhorong-chu Valley. It houses sacred relics, founder's stupas, and exquisite murals. The site is also famous as one of the world's three largest sky burial grounds, a profound Tibetan Buddhist ritual of returning to nature.
