Located in Yuzhong District by the Yangtze River, Huguang Guild Hall is China's largest ancient guild hall complex in an urban core. First built in 1759 (Qing Dynasty) and expanded in 1846, it arose from the "Huguang Filling Sichuan" migration wave, serving Hubei, Hunan and Guangdong immigrants.

A national key cultural relic, it blends southern Chinese architecture with Chongqing's mountainous terrain. The complex features the Yuwang Palace, Guangdong Hall and Qi'an House, famed for exquisite woodcarvings of myths and tales. It now houses a migration museum, telling the story of Chongqing's diverse roots. A living monument to immigration and Bayu culture.
