Qingyang Palace, known as the No.1 Taoist Temple in West Sichuan, is Chengdu's oldest and grandest Taoist sacred site. Dating back to the Zhou Dynasty, it was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty and closely related to Laozi, the founder of Taoism.

The elegant complex includes Bagua Pavilion, Sanqing Hall and other classic ancient buildings. The exquisite Bagua Pavilion follows the philosophy of round sky and square earth, with delicate wooden structures. It owns precious bronze green sheep, the iconic mascot worshipped by locals for blessings.

Holding complete Taoist scripture woodblocks, it carries profound Taoist culture and peaceful charm. Hidden in busy urban areas, it combines ancient architecture, Taoist wisdom and quiet gardens, showing the long spiritual history of Bashu land.
