Dujiangyan, located in Chengdu, Sichuan, is a world-famous ancient water conservancy project built over 2200 years ago in the Warring States Period. Designed by Li Bing and his son, it is the oldest and only surviving no-dam irrigation system globally.

Wisely utilizing natural terrain and river flow, it divides, diverts and drains water without blocking the river. It has prevented floods and irrigated vast farmlands, turning Chengdu Plain into a fertile land of abundance.

Combining scientific wisdom, ecological harmony and ancient craftsmanship, Dujiangyan is listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site. Surrounded by green mountains and clear rivers, it also blends profound Taoist culture and beautiful scenery, remaining a timeless marvel of ancient Chinese engineering.
