Yangshuo Big Banyan Tree, a revered ancient tree, stands by the Jinbao River in Moon Hill Scenic Area, along the Ten-Mile Gallery. Planted in the Sui Dynasty, it is over 1,400 years old—almost as old as Yangshuo County. This giant tree reaches 17 meters in height with a trunk circumference of 7 meters, and its lush canopy covers around 1,000 square meters, forming a "forest from one tree". Its twisted roots and hanging aerial roots create a striking, ancient look.

Famous as the filming site of the 1960 movie Liu Sanjie, it's where Liu Sanjie threw an embroidered ball to her lover A Niu, making it a symbol of love. Locals regard it as a "sacred tree" for blessings. A iconic Yangshuo landmark, it blends natural wonder and romantic legend.
